New York Trip Days 4 & 5

Thursday July 9th AKA Sam's 28th Birthday and our last FULL day! My dad and Desi stayed home! BOO! Me, my mom, Sam, Alaina and Alexis left SUPER EARLY and headed toward Time Square again for the day! haha Let me tell ya it wasn't as crowded like it was the night before at least not at 8:30AM.

First things first we went to the Good Morning America. It wasn't as exciting! I think we had to be there earlier for them.

Then we headed toward the Today Show and that's where everything was at!!!

This guy right here took us to line up to see Regis, Kathie Lee and Hoda! They went by state to line up and we chose to go with Ohio but we should of gone with the Texas ladies because they got to actually be on TV for more than 2 seconds! Oh well!

We stayed out too late for this girl and woke up way to early!

Literally so close to them!

This was my attempt to take a selfie... HEY at least my arm is in it! Apparently I was about to get hit by a camera so Sam told me to move and then it ruined everything haha

As soon as they were done shooting they were like GET OUT!
We went into the M&M Store and we got M&M's and a cute shirt for our sweet girl!

Then headed toward the Disney store where this girl got to pick out 2 toys! She was so happy!!

We left the Disney Store and we were starving so my mom and Alexis got a New York Hot dog! Sam and I weren't feeling a Hot dog so we waited until we left for uptown.

Then my mom said YES to Mickey Mouse, Minni Mouse, and Elsa and took a pictures with them what she didn't know is that they would beg her for money. If one takes a picture they all come at you like crazy! So, JUST SAY NO!

Then we headed to the upper side of Manhattan and walked by this gorgeous place! We even went inside!

When we got to the Upper side of Manhattan it was like whole different universe there were so many more strollers HIGH END ONES MAY I ADD and it was quiet, so much cleaner. Sam and I ate lunch at this AWESOME PLACE called SHAKE SHACK ...OH MY GOODNESS It was DELICIOUS! The line was OUT the door! It was right across the street from Central Park so after we got our food we sat at a bench.

By this time I was so exhausted I wanted to leave but Sam pushed my limits and I may have thrown a baby fit to go home haha We had been walking for hours and then the night before we were out passed midnight walking around. I WAS TIRED! haha

Then, we headed inside of Central Park where we saw horses, pretty fountains and this awesome bubble making skills. Alaina was so intrigued. The guy wanted to put her in a bubble but she wouldn't let him all she wanted to do was pop them.

We relaxed for a bit and saw a few men dancing and doing flips. Then, we headed toward a pretty fountain.

I may have been happier by the time we got here! And took a picture with my sweet husband! <3

We went back to the loft and relaxed for a few hours.

That night we went up the World Trade Center which was 120 floors up! Spent $60 for both of us to see the beautiful city.

It was a little foggy so we tried to get some good pictures.

They don't turn off the lights completely which I think they should so we won't get glares in our pictures! BOO!

9/11 Memorial <3

By the time we left it was raining or I mean PORING!!
We went home and I changed my shirt because I was wearing white!!
(I wish I could get my phone emojis on here because I'd add that clenched teeth one here) haha

We went back out while it was raining with an umbrella and headed toward Central Station and The Empire State Building! BUT FIRST we made a stop at this AWESOME dessert Waffle place called

Wafels & Dinges!
SO GOOD!!!!

Central Station!

The Empire State Building!

We were exhausted and headed back to the loft earlier than past days because we had to get up and get ready to go back home the next day.

Happy Birthday Sam!

Friday, July 10th we cleaned up our things and packed up the car and started heading out at 10AM except that the USA Women's Soccer Team had won the World Cup the day before and NYC was having a HUGE parade for them right were we were staying and it took us about 2 hours to find our way out of New York haha we should have just stayed parked and gone to the parade.

Police were riding horses and traffic was just backed up for DAYS!

Goodbye NEW YORK!
You were good to us!

We all had so much fun and we wouldn't have been able to go with out my parents they basically paid for everything!

Thanks MOM AND DAD!!

New York Trip Day 3

Wednesday July 8th we went on a ferry ride to go see the Statue of Liberty! It was ridiculously crowded and I was sweating like a dog!! Do dogs really sweat? If they do I can NEVER tell haha.

Anyways, it was a fun ride but with Alaina and all the people it was way too complicated for me. It was a pretty expensive ride... $25 each and there were 5 of us. Right when we were getting close to the Statue of Liberty Alaina had to go potty so I had to go down stairs and take out the potty that we brought and take her down another flight of stairs to the bathroom... UGH!! It was really complicated haha

She finally smiled for a bit while we were waiting to get off the ferry. haha

After the boat ride we went back to the loft. We were starving and had seen GREAT reviews to this Italian Panini Place it was called Pisillo Italian Panini (YOU MUST GO) that was literally down the street from where we were staying my dad decided to come with us since he stayed in the whole day. Again this place we delicious but didn't accept cash. We noticed a pattern all the GREAT places didn't accept cards. Good thing my parents were prepared with cash.

It was so good!

After lunch we left Alaina, my mom and my niece Desi at the loft and took my dad and Alexis to go see Wall Street it was literally a few blocks from where we were staying.

There were a million reporters and Sam asked what was going on and one of the reporters said that there was a glitch.... there's like NEVER a glitch with the stock exchange.

Please excuse my funky smile... haha

Red Cube  Artist: Isamu Noguchi

There were a million people by the Charging Bull this was the best picture that we could get.

We were pretty much Subway pros! :)

That night me, Sam and Alexis heading toward Time Square which was pretty much daylight at 9PM.

This is how excited my husband was to take a picture at the M&M store.

I had tried to get tickets but they were out in 5 minutes. I WAS TICKED I wanted to take Sam for his birthday. I waited all morning for them a month before we went to NY. UGH... oh well

We had so much fun that night! We left at midnight to head home and we were exhausted!

NEW YORK TRIP! Day 1 & 2

First off I have been MIA since FOREVER and I am so sorry! I honestly need this for myself so that I can go back to this blog and remember all these memories! From now on or just tonight I will catch up on EVERYTHING haha

Let's start off with MY SELFIE STICK THAT PRETTY MUCH WAS THE BEST INVESTMENT!

So, we took a New York Trip with my parents and my two nieces. It was quite an adventure and I can't wait to tell you all about it.

My parents arrived in the afternoon on Saturday, July 4th. We had just found out that we were moving and I'll write a blog about it later but we had been finishing up house projects all weekend long. As soon as my parents and nieces got here we kind of put them to work! We had so much to do and so little time to do it.

The plan was to leave Sunday morning but we still weren't finished with things around the house so we stayed an extra day. Monday morning we headed out to Niagara Falls, NY. More than half of us had already been there but my dad and younger niece hadn't so we went on the Maid of the Mist which is a boat ride to the falls which I thought was the most fun out of all the stuff they had. We took a walk closer to the falls after the boat ride and tried to take more pictures.

Then on that same day we also headed up to Palmyra, NY and saw LDS Historical Sites!

Maid of the Mist boat ride.

Alaina was NOT that happy on the boat!

These girls refused to continue to take pictures with us! ;)

She loved kicking the rocks!

Heading to Palmyra, NY

When we arrived to Palmyra we were STARVING so we went to this local Burger and Ice Cream place that was seriously the BOMB DOT COM! haha (who says that anymore) I wish I had taken a picture of the ice cream. Then we went back to our hotel and took our suitcases up to the room.

We had decided to just walk from the hotel to all the historic sites since the girl at the desk at our hotel said it was a five minute walk. YEA, SHE LIED!! It was not 5 MINUTES!

We only had that evening to go look at everything and the first thing we saw was this
BEAUTIFUL TEMPLE!

We practically died walking up to the temple but once we got there I was so happy! It was so pretty!

Happy Place!

We also went to the Smith Log Home, The Sacred Grove, and we drove to Hill Cumorah (because it wasn't walking distance from our hotel) where Moroni buried the golden plates that was later translated by Joseph Smith and published them as
The Book of Mormon. Learn More!

We didn't actually go up the hill because it had already closed by the time we got there!

We were all tired by the time we got back including my sweet Alaina who was a trooper all day long since she had just been potty trained a week before! Also, that same week she had face planted into the concrete and hurt her sweet nose and upper lip!

First thing the next morning we headed out to NEW YORK CITY!

We got to there around lunch time and traffic was awful!
We all stayed in this AWESOME LOFT that we got off Airbnb.com.

And then before we remembered that there were subways I DRAGGED my whole family on a 25 - 30 minute walk to Lombardi's Pizzeria which was AMAZING by the way. Even though everyone was pretty mad at me for making them walk in the dreadful heat that NYC had to offer we all left pretty happy that we didn't have to walk home and happy that we were full of delicious food.

(p.s. bring a lot of cash to NY if you ever go this place it was CASH ONLY (which is ridiculous) but there are a lot of places that just accept cash)

On our way back we decided to go check out the 9/11 Memorial! I didn't get a picture of it!  It was an Incredible Memorial that honor those lost!

That night we put Alaina to bed and took the girls out! It was quite the adventure!

World Trade Center!

Brooklyn Bridge!

We went home that night and fell on our beds!
