Maybe about a week before we left good ol' Dallas, Texas we decided to take a little road trip to Las Vegas!! Oh yea it was really exciting because I have never been there before and it would technically be our first vacation since we got married. We were planning on leaving on Monday. Mr. Samuel Snow didn't want to pack what so ever. I started packing like Saturday I realized then that we had brought so many things, it was probably the stupidest thing to do. So, Sunday came and I kept packing and once again Samuel Snow didn't want to pack. Can you tell that I did all the packing? My husband was not planning on packing until the day of!( He did this to me whenever we were living in our apartment in Rexburg last semester. We were literally exhausted the day before we left to Dallas.) Anyways Monday came and we were still packing and I was super worried that all that we had brought was not going to fit because we had bought a 42" TV while we were there. But Sam to the rescue he made everything fit.
Here is a picture of Sam and his TV. He couldn't take his hands off of it whenever we were at the store. He looked like a kid at the candy store! (:
Anyways, so we left around 8pm on Monday and headed to Las vegas! YAY!
I took some pictures of trees and then I ran into some mountains! Oh and I suppose the road was in the pictures as well.
While we were on the road the bag of chips blew up!
There were a lot of pretty trees

When we got to Arizona we realized that the Grand Canyon was there and wanted to take a peek real quick! We didn't want to take a tour or anything because we been driving for almost a day and we just wanted to get to our hotel. We were on the road when we passed by a sign that said "Museum" and decided to go check it out! We got there and it didn't look like a museum it looked like an old house. We were like eh and decided to just ask how to get to the Grand Canyon! So Sam ran in and he said that the lady told him about the glass wall over the Grand Canyon and we were like Oooo Aaaaaa! LET'S GO! haha We decided to use our Handy dandy smart phone to lead us the right way and we ended up on the Historic Route 66 it was really cool we passed by a little town and I was trying to figure out what parts were in the movie Cars but I didn't see anything but I remembered how the road that we were on before we got to 66 was the road that was built for other traffic and in the movie Cars I remember in a part that the "cars" were upset because there wasn't a lot of traffic coming down on 66 anymore! I think that was a little confusing but hopefully you understand if you saw the movie!
We went down Route 66 and ran into another little town. We stopped by a hotel to ask were we could find the glass wall that we were told they told Sam that you have to pay for any trip to the Grand Canyon . BOO! We were not thrilled at all too bad we didn't have any money or time to do any of that so we decided to keep heading toward Vegas!

LATERWe saw signs to the Hoover Dam! Yes finally we get to see something FOR FREE! haha
Its like right before Nevada we were technically in Arizona still and it was 113 degrees yea I know FREAKIN' HOT!
Here starts the pictures.. (:
This is the view that we saw when we went up the hill to park
That was the closest we could get.. because we didn't want to walk all the way to the other side of the wall. I know I know WHY NOT?
WELL......
- It was 113 degrees and the wind was hot as well so that was no help!
- There was like a bajillion people.
- We were extra extra extra far away!
We decided to go on the bridge. Which was the longest walk ever!
I honestly thought this was the best view of it!
