Two Years Old!

My sweet girl turned two last Thursday and I just can't believe it! We have been so busy lately that I have not been able to update you guys on what's going on with her or with us. Like I'm not kidding so busy I am exhausted and ready for bed by 9PM if it wasn't for most of my shows that start at 10PM I would be sleeping at exactly 9PM!

Anyways, Wednesday evening Sam and I filled up a MILLION balloons, and taped up some streamers on her door. Thursday morning I made her favorite pancakes and woke her up singing Happy Birthday with lit candles. She blew the candles out and all she could say is BALLOONS haha. Overall, we had a good day!

That night she was more than willing to open up one present my parents sent us which included a Barney that sang "I Love You" and she played with him the rest of the evening!

Saturday, we threw her a MASSIVE PARTY! Like our house couldn't handle any more people haha. We had about 30 people over with kids running around like CARAZZY! We had a Hot Dog Bar.. thanks Pinterest. It was a huge HIT! I mean I think it was a huge hit! We had a few hiccups that included J-dawg sauce explosions and major blood explosions that were caused by a knife! YIKES! (if you want to know who and how bad the cut is then you can ask) We are so glad we have made amazing friends here and we wouldn't have done it any other way! It was a huge success and Sam and I are glad we threw a birthday bash for our girl!

We didn't get to take that many pictures at the party and I totally regret that but as the hostess I was busy the whole time and didn't get any good pictures which makes me really sad. Anyways, here goes nothing... :)

I didn't get to take a picture of the pom poms but I made those and the tassles that are in the pictures.

Birthday Number Twenty Three!

This past Monday was the 28th of July which means I turned lucky number 23! I know OLD HUH!? ha! It was probably one of my best birthdays ever... or I mean in a while! Thanks to my loving family and sweet friends! 

I started off the day by taking Sam to a friends house, he was giving Sam and ride to work that day. After that I went to go get an emissions test for our car registration in Kent like 20ish minutes from our house. Which I DIDN'T even need! We got home and ate breakfast. Alaina had woken up early that day so she went down for a sweet nap. I started cleaning once she was down haha so fun right!?! Our house was a disaster... well not really Sam helped me clean bits of  it Sunday evening! I woke Alaina up around 10:30ish and we got ready for the day. When it got close to noon we headed to Steak and Shake where my friends were going to meet us and have a birthday lunch! It was way fun and I'm so grateful for friends here in Ohio! Too bad we didn't take any pictures! By the time we were done it was two o'clock and Alaina had to take a nap! I know two naps? Yea, when she wakes up earlier than usual she NEEDS two naps and frankly so do I! She's quite a handful sometimes! She has a lot of energy that's all and she needs all the naps I can squeeze in! haha 

We got home and I put Alaina down for her nap and I started to do laundry! It had been a while since I had done laundry because my washer was leaking and we got it fixed that weekend. Thank goodness for 6 month warranty!

I had to go pick up Sam from work downtown I must add so that we can head to Red Robin and eat dinner! Last time I picked up Sam we had a bit of traffic and this time we drove smoothly with NO traffic and got to Red robin in 15 minutes! SAWEET! I was aiming for 6 but I'm glad we got there at 5:15PM. Beat traffic and beat the crazy waiting lines at Red Robin! We were there for an 1 1/2 hrs I know... a long time! It was so good! I LOVE Red Robin! 

We headed home and had our friends the Senders come over! They even brought me a gift which I was wonderful. They gave me 2 books and I just started reading one of them and it just got interesting! :) Thank you! We sang happy birthday and ate cake! We played games until 9:30! It was so fun! I couldn't have asked for a better birthday!

28 before 28!

My birthday is coming up in July and I turn 23 now I know I don't turn 28 for another 5 years but I am going to set up 28 goals that I need to do before then because my golden birthday is going to be one the best! :)

1. Go on vacation with Sam... without Alaina.

2. Run a 5k.

3. Teach all my kids Spanish. (working on it with Alaina) 

4. Go on a girl's over nighter.

5. Attempt to go on a camping trip with Alaina.

6. Try a new cooking/baking recipe a week. 

7. Try a new hairstyle   I got bangs and I cut my hair short

8. Do one of those mud races. 

9. Lose about 10-15 pounds.

10. Play more volleyball.

11. Become a BIG time blogger. (in my dreams)

12. Try and finish unpacking my home.

13. Get a new wardrobe. 

14. Go to the Temple with Sam as much as we can and by myself. 

15. Try doing more stuff to Alaina's hair. 

16. Do a craft for every holiday. 

17. Finish reading The Book of Mormon.

18. Run a 10K

19. Be more spontaneous.

20. Wake up at 7:30AM every day and get on a schedule. 

21. Start a home business. 

22. Go to New York, Boston, and Canada. We live so close that it has to be done!

23. Learn to do GREAT eye makeup! (those that know me know I can't do make up AT ALL)

24. Learn how to do all kinds of  hair braids.

25. Read a new {book} series. (Any suggestions?) 

26. Learn to take FABULOUS pictures. 

27.Work everyday on being a more loving, patient, and supportive wife and mother. 

28. Work everyday on being more friendly, helpful, and loving to those around me. Not that I am not friendly but do better!

I love lists I love writing things down to help me motivate myself to do things. I hope all of these things get done before I am 28! Let the fun begin!!!

Sam's 27th Birthday!

Sam's birthday was on Wednesday, July 9th he turned 27 years old! I KNOW!! Where did the time go I mean he will be 30 in 3 years! 3 YEARS!!! haha. Just kididing babe you're not that old! :)

Anyways, on Wednesday morning I woke up early to make him breakfast. He was very surprised because I never wake up early haha as soon as he gets out of bed I roll over to his side and just take over his pillow and Beano takes over my side. We have a routine going on here now. (For those that are just peeking in on my blog Beano is our wonderful dog and we know his name is a pill that helps prevent gas before it starts.) I made pancakes, bacon and eggs! It was seriously yummy! For lunch, Sam's department at work had a little party I forgot what it was for but they had a lot of food. Dinner was yummy we had a few friends join us at Red Robin and it was so yummy except the service was TERRIBLE! We wanted to complain but decided not too. It seems that July 9th was a very popular birthday because there were a lot of groups and balloons at Red Robin. I had signed Sam and I up for free stuff on our birthdays and Red Robin was one of them. Although, you have to have signed up 30 days before your birthday. (Just a heads up) We had fun it was nice going out to have a nice dinner with our friends. After dinner we went home and had carrot cake! I have never been a fan of carrot cake I know LAME! I don't know what it is that I don't like but I just don't like it. So, I go ahead and make the cake and it smelled so yummy I just wanted to eat the batter. Once we had it all ready I was excited to try it andddd...... I didn't like it but that didn't matter because the birthday boy DID! haha I did good!

Alaina's 1st Birthday!!

Today is my sweet Alaina's birthday! I seriously can't believe it has been a year! When people say it goes by so fast it REALLY GOES BY SO FAST! I always thought it was annoying when people said that because it was said to me all the time but it's true! Alaina said "bye" this morning to her grandma on Face Time. It was seriously the cutest thing ever! I love this stage that she is going through she understands a lot of course she still doesn't take me seriously when I say NO to her. She just turns around and gives me a blank stare then starts laughing like I didn't yell at her! She really has a great personality. She recently started walking like a week ago she finally started taking steps and she's gotten better. She isn't walking full time yet though when she wants to go somewhere fast she gets on legs and starts to crawl! We got a little piano with a seat on it the other day from our friend Colleen and she has been a musician ever since! She doesn't find the seat very helpful so she stands. She's gotten pretty good with the keys!

NEW INFO ON ALAINA!

• I take Alaina to the doctor next Monday so we will see how big she has gotten since I took her to the doctor a couple months ago! I hope she has gained weight. It looks like it at least. We gave her milk like a month ago! 
• Alaina has been sleeping though the night since she was 7 months old! I know i'm super lucky! I sure do love my sleep! 
• She has become a major talker lately. She is so funny! She whispers to herself it's really interesting! The other day I was telling her to eat her chicken nuggets OUT OF NOWHERE she screams out with this SASSY attitude that she is not wanting any chicken nuggets! My friend Chelsea was there and we were just cracking up! 
• Alaina does this ridiculous thing with Beano's food. She grabs his food then puts it in his water bowl! ISN'T THAT AMAZING?!? NO! I mean it was funny at first but then it got quite annoying because if the food sits in the water for a while it dissolves into teeny tiny pieces then Beano doesn't drink out of it so I have to clean out Beano's water bowl and get him some new water! I know it doesn't seem like a real problem but if you're doing it multiple times a day it really get's old! 
• OMYGOODNESS.. Today, Alaina finally learned how to suck out of her new cup I got her a while back it has a straw instead of the sippy one kind. Our friends Kjersti and her son Jayden were over and he has the "new cup" and Alaina kept wanted to take it away from him so I go and put milk in hers and she just sucked away! I was impressed and so happy because I only had one of the old sippy cups and I had to clean it all the time!
• Alaina still loves Beano way more than he does! I mean secretly he loves her because he licks her all the time. He just doesn't like it when she climbs on him! Oh Alaina loves sharing her food with him I think that's another reason why he loves her because she gives him all of her food! Sometimes she just drops things when she is in her high chair because she knows that he is standing right there to pick up the scraps! 

Alright I'm done!

Alaina's 1st Birthday Party!

On November 2nd I decided to have Alaina's birthday party due to the fact that there was so much going on in November. Our friends the Helbergs nicely said that we could use their place for the party because we have so much stuff at our place and it would seriously be crazy! Very grateful they let us use their home! As you all know I have posted a lot of things on FB about what I had made and stuff I didn't get to decorate all the stuff I wanted because it just got too late haha and it was sort of stressing me out. I have come to realize that I get stressed out so easily. I think big events kind of scare me.

Anyways, we ate pizza and  drank soda,we pulled the pinata strings, opened presents and ate some seriously yummy cake!! That's the order we did it too.
