All Aboard!!

This past weekend my SIL Kristy and her sweet family came to visit us! Our house was full! I mean we could have probably add a few more people haha  It was so much fun! They got here Thursday evening and they basically went to bed it had been a really long day because they had just got back from Niagara Falls! Sam got Friday off from work so Friday morning after breakfast we were on our iPad's trying to figure out what fun things  to do that doesn't require a lot of walking.

We ended up decided on doing the Chagrin Scenic Train ride. It was a fun ride! Well sort of. haha I think the kids had some fun! For the money that we spent I felt like it wasn't worth it but I enjoyed being with family.

Sam brought his camelbak and Alaina loved drinking out of it.

Sweet kids! Miss them!

On the train, Kristy and Scott got this sweet old man talking and he wouldn't stop.

Such a sweet picture.

Sam's 27th Birthday!

Sam's birthday was on Wednesday, July 9th he turned 27 years old! I KNOW!! Where did the time go I mean he will be 30 in 3 years! 3 YEARS!!! haha. Just kididing babe you're not that old! :)

Anyways, on Wednesday morning I woke up early to make him breakfast. He was very surprised because I never wake up early haha as soon as he gets out of bed I roll over to his side and just take over his pillow and Beano takes over my side. We have a routine going on here now. (For those that are just peeking in on my blog Beano is our wonderful dog and we know his name is a pill that helps prevent gas before it starts.) I made pancakes, bacon and eggs! It was seriously yummy! For lunch, Sam's department at work had a little party I forgot what it was for but they had a lot of food. Dinner was yummy we had a few friends join us at Red Robin and it was so yummy except the service was TERRIBLE! We wanted to complain but decided not too. It seems that July 9th was a very popular birthday because there were a lot of groups and balloons at Red Robin. I had signed Sam and I up for free stuff on our birthdays and Red Robin was one of them. Although, you have to have signed up 30 days before your birthday. (Just a heads up) We had fun it was nice going out to have a nice dinner with our friends. After dinner we went home and had carrot cake! I have never been a fan of carrot cake I know LAME! I don't know what it is that I don't like but I just don't like it. So, I go ahead and make the cake and it smelled so yummy I just wanted to eat the batter. Once we had it all ready I was excited to try it andddd...... I didn't like it but that didn't matter because the birthday boy DID! haha I did good!

Sam looks beautifully tan!

Love them!

Alaina tried to help daddy blow out the candles but she couldn't.

About Us!

Hi, I'm Teresa I am a stay at home mom and wife. I am a wanna-be photographer. I like to craft and blog about my families adventures! We live in Streestboro, Ohio and we absolutely love it! I graduated with my Associates in general studies at BYU-Idaho.  Both my husband and I are from Dallas, Texas. I love to hang out with my friends, shop, and spend time with my family!

This is my husband Sam! He works at the Sherwin Williams headquarters in Cleveland, OH. He is a Business Analyst. He is an amazing man, father and provider for this family. He has many hobbies that include playing basketball, volleyball, snowboarding, doing magic, cooking, playing racquetball. He's pretty much mastered everything out there!

This is Alaina she is our sweet 18 month old daughter! She gives our life so much delight! She is really funny and spunky! Loves to say "no" and grunts to get whatever she wants. (we are working on that) She gives the best hugs and kisses!

This is Beano our wonderful Jack Russell. He has been in Sam's life for about 10 years! I became his new owner once I married Sam. He has NO energy during the day but when Sam get's home he immediately has energy and is running all over the house! He is part of our family and we love him.

Closing on our house!

So the week when we were suppose to close on our house Sam had this great opportunity to go to Ecuador! He had a couple of hick ups getting there and they were not his fault may I add! Anyways, he left Monday early afternoon and was suppose to get there that night but he ended up getting there Tuesday evening. The plan was to get home Thursday but since Sam and his coworker got there so late they wanted to extend his stay. Unfortunately, he couldn't stay until Friday because of our house situation like we had to close by Saturday and with paperwork and such it would have taken a day. It was cutting it super close if he came home Friday! So Thursday he got here at 11 and we went to go sign papers we were so excited! I don't know if you saw but I had a couple selfie posts about buying a home haha. Sam was not happy with me because something happened Friday morning that almost lost us the house and then I had posted all over social media that we bought a house and blah blah blah! haha he was so stressed out! I really should've waited until we HAD the house. Thursday after we signed papers we went to go celebrate at the wonderful Cheesecake Factory! I've never been and it was so freaking good!! Also, Alaina was a doll! I have pictures that are just beautiful!

Love her face!

Blurry but she is a doll!

Friday evening we got THE CALL that the house was OURS! We were BEYOND EXCITED!

XOXO

Officially Home Owners!

About 3 weeks ago we got the keys to our new home! I still can't believe we own our first home. This home was made for us. Our Realtor showed us about 6 homes in one day and nothing compared to this one. We kind of felt that she showed us really crappy homes so that we would buy this one. haha it didn't matter because whenever I would look online nothing would compare. We are so happy! No more turning down my music during one of my jamming sessions with Alaina or just me haha. No more rules on painting or poking holes through walls. We are so grateful for this home we couldn't have asked for more!

Let me show you pictures!
Now we are still working on some things so you have to bare with me. :)

Home Sweet Home! It's quite brown.. we plan on taking care of that in the near future.

As soon as the McIntyre's could they came right over to help us out from giving Alaina a bath to painting and tearing down walls.

Look at those super YUCKY YELLOW walls! That was taken care of that night!

As soon as we could we also took out the carpet!

You see this wall?!?!

Tony felt the need to stick his head in between the bars! haha (for picture purposes)

It didn't take long before we decided to tear it down!

It's gone!!! Well the bars are!

That's me taking care of that ICKY YELLOW with some Agreeable Gray from Sherwin Williams! We kind of know someone that works there! :)

Courtney and Tony working hard! :)

The wall is gone!
This is where we ended the night! It looks good huh!?! I know! Just wait until you see the rest!

We are so grateful for the McIntyre's for helping us out that night! Thank you!

I'll keep you updated on what we did next! :)

Dallas Day 3

Friday:
We woke up and Alaina and Sam cuddled. She's so sweet in the morning! I mean ALL THE TIME!

That morning she found the cabinets with plastic stuff  and so she took them out!

We went outside and it was kind of cold but that didn't stop this girl!

She's so cute!

I don't remember what else we did that day so I'll have to keep you posted..

Check out

XOXO
